Broncos Will Reign is a non-profit charitable organization that seeks to empower and educate Western Michigan University student-athletes and help them to use their influence to assist charitable organizations, both in the Kalamazoo area and in the communities in which these Western Michigan University student-athletes live.
IS MY CONTRIBUTION TAX DEDUCTIBLE?
Broncos Will Reign is a Michigan non-profit corporation and has applied for exemption as a 501(c)3 organization with the Internal Revenue Service. If the IRS grants exempt status and can retroactively backdate the date the organization was created, we would be pleased to provide you a copy of any IRS determination that we receive upon your request. Please consult your tax advisor for more information.
HOW ARE DONATIONS USED?
Donations enable Broncos Will Reign to compensate Western Michigan University student-athletes under the new name-image-likeness rules for work by the Western Michigan University student-athletes on behalf of charitable organizations. Many charitable organizations in the Kalamazoo area and elsewhere are underfunded and lack dedicated marketing teams. The popularity of our Western Michigan University student-athletes will amplify the reach of these charitable organizations in a way that is not otherwise possible.
WHAT WILL A STUDENT-ATHLETE DO FOR THESE CHARITIES?
We anticipate that Western Michigan University student-athletes will have many options to support charitable organizations through Broncos Will Reign, including special appearances, autograph signings, social media promotions, camps and clinics, charity events, and more. The types of activities a particular Western Michigan University student-athlete may engage in will be determined in consultation with the charitable organization and the Western Michigan University student-athlete. However, the Western Michigan University student-athletes will agree to complete a specific amount of marketing work for these charitable organizations to receive compensation.
HOW IS A CHARITY SELECTED TO WORK WITH A WESTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY STUDENT-ATHLETE?
Broncos Will Reign will cultivate relationships with charitable organizations throughout the Kalamazoo area and in the communities in which Western Michigan University student-athletes live. We anticipate that many charities will be identified through long-standing relationships that exist with donors and board members of Broncos Will Reign. Student-athletes also have the opportunity to present charitable organizations they are already involved with or passionate about. Broncos Will Reign will align student-athlete interests with relevant charities when possible.
WHICH WESTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY STUDENT-ATHLETES WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN ACTIVITIES WITH BcRONCOS WILL REIGN?
It is the goal of Broncos Will Reign that all Western Michigan University student-athletes will have an opportunity to participate in name, image, and likeness agreements through Broncos Will Reign, should they choose to do so.
IN THERE A MINIMUM DONATION AMOUNT?
Broncos Will Reign welcomes all contributions. No amount is too small or too large to help us achieve our mission of positively impacting Western Michigan University student-athletes and the charitable organizations with which they will work.

No. Broncos Will Reign is an independent nonprofit with a Board of Directors to direct the entity's operations and receives no funding from Western Michigan University. However, while Broncos Will Reign is independent, we have an excellent working relationship with the representatives of Western Michigan University and keep in close contact with Western Michigan University on compliance issues.
